CELEBRATION ODOR CONTROL UNIT

​Odor control unit in Celebration will be temporarily offline while undergoing upgrade process


Celebration, Fla., May 16, 2019 – Toho Water Authority is announcing that the odor control unit located at sewer lift station 111 (see map) in Celebration will be temporarily taken offline on Monday, May 20, 2019, for 48 hours. During this time an increase in odor may be experienced in the surrounding area. 

The odor unit is expected to be back online by Wednesday, May 22, 2019. This is necessary as part of an odor control system upgrade currently underway at the sewer lift station. 

The new odor control unit upgrade is expected to be completed by August 2019. Schedules could vary according to weather and unforeseen circumstances. This new unit is expected to reduce incidences of odor in the area.

The new odor control system has been activated and is undergoing acclimatization. During its acclimation process there could be some experience of odors.The acclimation process is expected to take six weeks. The new system is expected to reduce incidences of odor in the area. ​
