Road restoration underway on Narcoossee Rd.
Due to unforeseen conditions, the temporary asphalt patch that was laid recently on one of the travel lanes weakened creating potholes. To ensure the safety of the public the lane was closed during daytime hours to perform repairs. The new temporary asphalt patch has been successfully completed and the lane reopened. Nighttime work for the Narcoossee Rd repair project between Boggy Creek Rd and Cyrils Dr will continue as planned, Sunday through Thursday from 9 p.m. - 6 a.m. Toho apologizes for this inconvenience.
The project is expected to be completed by December 2022. Schedules could vary according to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
The safety of everyone is of the upmost importance. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching this area as lanes are temporarily shifted and workers may be present. Speed limits may be reduced and sidewalks possibly closed and diverted.
- Noise and vibrations
- Barricades and fencing for safety
- Trucks, machinery and equipment
A water line was recently installed in the area to enhance pressure for Toho customers and meet the future needs of the growing community. An underground boring method was utilized to install the water line. This method minimizes the impact on area residents and the traveling public by eliminating the need for area excavation. Unfortunately, it was discovered that the installation caused three road depressions on Narcoossee Rd. The original road restoration plan had to be revised.
