Elbridge Drive area closure for sewer project

Toho Water Authority (Toho) is announcing a road closure on Elbridge Drive near the Monterey Road intersection starting on Monday, April 28 (please see map below).

This essential sewer replacement project will help ensure continued reliability and efficiency of the community’s wastewater system and replaces the temporary infrastructure that's been in place. A notice was delivered to residents in the immediate area seen in the documents section of this page.

The project is scheduled to get underway in late April and is expected to be completed by fall 2025. Work will take place Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Schedules may change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances. More details below.

What to expect:

Beginning April 28

Staging of construction equipment and materials will occur in the area starting on Monday, April 28. Construction is set to begin May 5. A road closure on Elbridge Drive near the Monterey Road intersection will be put in place to allow work to be conducted safely (please see attached map). Applicable signage will be placed for the traveling public. Flaggers will be on Elbridge Drive to assist vehicular traffic.

Elbridge Place Impacts

The Elbridge Drive and Elbridge Place intersection will be closed at the start of the project. A temporary road will be constructed to allow access to Elbridge Place.

Elbridge Drive Impacts

The project has been designed to minimize restrictions to driveways in the construction area as much as possible. However, there may be times when driveways are unavailable to residents. Should this occur, residents will be notified.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching work areas, as workers will be present and roads/sidewalks may be closed and possibly diverted.

Mail Service

To ensure uninterrupted mail delivery, mailboxes will be temporarily relocated slightly inward into your yards. Once construction is complete, the mailboxes will be returned to their original locations and affected areas will be restored.

Ongoing Communication

Toho will share regular updates throughout the duration of the project to keep you informed of progress and any anticipated changes to access or timelines.

We understand that construction can cause inconveniences, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete this important work. Our team is committed to minimizing disruption and working efficiently to complete the project as quickly as possible.
