Buenaventura Lakes water treatment facility upgrades
The Buenaventura Lakes water treatment facility is currently being upgraded to improve the long-term operations of the facility and enhance water quality. Improvements will also be made to reduce flooding at the facility caused by heavy rains.
The project is expected to be completed by the fall of 2026. Most work takes place during normal working hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There may be instances of night-time work. Schedules could change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
The project has been designed to minimize impacts to the community as much as possible. During construction activities, area residents may experience some noise and dust. There may be some light traffic impacts when construction materials are being delivered to the facility. All work activities will take place within the facility’s premises.
The upgrades are funded by a grant from the Florida Department of Environmental (FDEP).
We understand that construction can cause inconveniences, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete this important work. Our team is committed to minimizing disruption and working efficiently to complete the project as quickly as possible.
