Shake Rag Road closures for sewer project

Toho Water Authority is announcing the following closures starting August 29, 2025 for a sewer project:

• Shake Rag Road at the intersection of Fortune Road
• Westbound left turn lane on Fortune Road onto Shake Rag Road
• Multi-use trail along Fortune Road from US 192 to Shake Rag Road (south side, north side sidewalk will remain open)

Detours will be in place and access will be provided for local traffic and emergency services.

The project is expected to be completed in approximately two weeks. Please be advised that construction schedules may change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.

The project is designed to upgrade the sewer facilities in the area.

The traveling public should use caution when approaching this area, as workers and construction equipment will be present. Speed limits may be reduced. Signage will be in place to keep the traveling public informed of the project.
