Downtown Kissimmee lane closures and traffic shifts

Toho Water Authority is announcing the following downtown lane closures and traffic shifts starting on September 16 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for a sewer project:

  •  Sun Avenue between East Dakin Avenue and North Orlando Avenue
  • South Randolph Avenue between Patrick Street and West Bryan Street
  • North Beaumont Avenue between Mabbette Street and West Sumner Street
  • West Sproule Street between Church Street and West Neptune Road
  • West Sumner Street between North Beaumont Avenue and North Orlando Avenue
  • Emmett Street between North Orlando Avenue and South Beaumont Avenue
  • West Bryan Street between South Beaumont Avenue and Ruby Avenue
  • Mitchell Street between West Dakin Avenue and West Sproule Avenue
  • North Orlando Avenue between Mabbette Street and Sumner Street
  • East Dakin Avenue between Lakeshore Boulevard and Johnston Street
  • Emmett Street between North Rose Avenue and North Beaumont Avenue
  • West Patrick Street between South Vernon Avenue and North Orlando Avenue
  • Ruby Avenue between Pleasant Street and Broadway Avenue 

The project is expected to be completed in about a week. Please be advised that construction schedules may change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances. Access will be provided for local traffic and emergency services.

The project is designed to upgrade the sewer facilities in the area.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching this area, as workers and construction equipment will be present. Speed limits may be reduced, sidewalks possibly closed, and foot traffic diverted. Signage will be in place to keep the traveling public informed of the project.
