3.2.25 - The precautionary boil water advisory has been lifted. Residents are no longer advised to boil their water prior to consumption.
###
2.28.25 - Residents living in The Hamlets community will experience a disruption of their water service starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 28.
This interruption of service is necessary to allow Toho Water Authority to replace the master water meter for the community. Service is expected to be restored by 2 p.m. Schedules could change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
Once service is restored a precautionary boil water advisory will go into effect until rescinded by Toho Water Authority.
Under the advisory, as a precautionary measure, customers are advised to boil their water for one minute prior to consumption (drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes). As an alternative bottled water may be used. Water used for laundry or bathing/showering does not need to be boiled. Food industry guidelines are attached in the documents section of this page.
Once service is restored, regulatory testing will take place to make sure the water meets drinking water standards. An advisory status update will be provided by Sunday, March 2.
