Harmony area temporary water treatment change
Beginning September 18, 2025, Toho Water Authority (Toho) will temporarily switch the disinfectant in the public water system that serves the Harmony area from chloramines to free chlorine for maintenance of water quality in the distribution system.
While this process is routine in function, and we most recently conducted this in June/July 2025 for our system, we are accelerating the next scheduled maintenance event as a continuation of our flushing response to the recently resolved precautionary boil water advisory for our Harmony area customers.
Nova Road disruption of service / precautionary boil water advisory
Update: 2:30 p.m. - Toho Water Authority (Toho) is announcing that once service is restored, a precautionary boil water advisory will be in effect for customers located in the Nova Road area off of Lake Lizzie Drive and Pine Grove Road (see map below).
This is due to a water line break in the area caused by a contractor working in the area. Service is expected to be restored by 3 p.m. Schedules may change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. The precautionary boil water advisory will be in effect until lifted by Toho.
Apopka Drive/Apopka Lane area precautionary boil water advisory
Toho Water Authority (Toho) is announcing that once service is restored, a precautionary boil water advisory will be in effect for customers located at 1212-1218 Apopka Drive and 1216-1240 Apopka Lane.
This is due to a water line break caused by a contractor working in the area. Service is expected to be restored by 5 p.m. Schedules may change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. The precautionary boil water advisory will be in effect until lifted by Toho.

Service Restored: Poinciana Area Irrigation Disruption
Friday, September 5, 2025 - Service has been restored.

Customers in the Poinciana area may be experiencing disruptions to reclaimed water irrigation service. Crews are currently onsite. A timeframe for service restoration is yet to be determined.
More information will provided as it becomes available.
Hickory Tree Road area water line installation project
Toho is announcing a water line installation project along Hickory Tree Road between Nolte Road and US 192 (please see map below).
The project is scheduled to get underway in early September and is expected to be completed by January 2026 along with area restoration. Work will take place Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Schedules could vary according to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
Lifted: Harmony area precautionary boil water advisory
Sunday, September 7 - Toho Water Authority has lifted the precautionary boil water advisory for areas east/north of 192 highlighted in blue on the map below including Way Point Blvd, Amera Trail, Old Melbourne Hwy and Bay Lake Estates.
The precautionary boil water advisory is now lifted for all locations in the Harmony area. Customers are no longer advised to boil their water prior to consumption.
Shake Rag Road closures for sewer project
Toho Water Authority is announcing the following closures starting August 29, 2025 for a sewer project:
- Shake Rag Road at the intersection of Fortune Road
- Westbound left turn lane on Fortune Road onto Shake Rag Road
- Multi-use trail along Fortune Road from US 192 to Shake Rag Road (south side, north side sidewalk will remain open)
Detours will be in place and access will be provided for local traffic and emergency services.

Toho offices closed for Labor Day holiday
Toho's Customer Service Center in St. Cloud and our Administration building in Kissimmee will be closed Monday, Sept. 1, in observance of Labor Day. Regular business hours will resume at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2.
